Shannon Padgett has been an associate attorney with the firm since 2006. She has been awarded the firm’s coveted “Top Negotiator Award,” as a result of her tireless fight for her clients’ rights.
She practices in Criminal, Family and Personal Injury- Plaintiff law, and does not limit her work to plea negotiation. She frequently takes cases to trial.
Formerly an Assistant State Attorney, she has volunteered her time to assist as a judge in the Teen Court program and a mediator for the Citizen’s Dispute Resolution program.
She received her Juris doctor from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she was a member of The University of Memphis Law Review, a bi-annual student legal journal, where she published WHITE v. REVCO DISCOUNT DRUG CENTERS: Should private employers be held liable for the negligence of off-duty police officers employed for private security purposes? Padgett also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the First Coast Republican Club, and the National Rifle Association of America. She has also volunteered with the First Coast Tea Party and Best Buddies of America.
In her spare time, Padgett enjoys running, reading, traveling, diving, shooting and many outdoor activities. She is also an accomplished, certified thespian, having most recently played “Gipsy” in The Beaux Stratagem at Theater Jacksonville.
