What is a public defender?

When an individual is charged with a crime in the state of Florida, and really, throughout the United States, they’re entitled to representation whether they can afford it or not. If someone is declared indigent, meaning they cannot afford to hire an attorney themselves, they’re entitled by law to a public defender.  A public defender is a court-appointed attorney who would represent their interests and protect them, defend them, in court.

Dale Carson Law is dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals.
